Remedial massage is an effective way of reducing pain due injury, overuse or bad posture. That type of manual soft tissue therapy is one of the most common and easiest ways for restoring normal functioning of your muscle, fascia and nervous tissues. Remedial massage usually combines a range of techniques like postural analysis, orthopaedic testing, myofascial release, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, just to name a few.
After considering client’s history and assessment therapist will decide which specific techniques will be most beneficial to use during hands on session. At the end of massage some suggestions of home care, like stretches, are given to speed up and maintain your recovery.
Remedial massage can help you with:
- Neck and shoulder pain
- Upper back pain
- Lower back pain
- Sciatica (sharp/shooting pain or numbness/tingling down your leg and feet)
- DOMS (Delayed onset muscle soreness) from exercise
- Depression or anxiety
